The City of Abbotsford invites tenders for James Wastewater Treatment Plant (JWWTP) - Roof Replacement (Roofs C, D, E, F, I). Work in this contract comprises of selective balcony membrane replacement @ JWWTP located at 5959 Gladwin Road in Abbotsford, BC, and consists in general terms of the following work: Roofing Low-Slope Roofs: 2-ply SBS system i. Remove and dispose of existing roofing assembly down to the existing concrete deck. ii. Repairs to the concrete surface due to damage will be as directed by the Consultant and as designed by the Structural Engineer. This work will be performed on a time and materials basis. iii. Supply and install additional plates to the parapets as shown in the drawings. iv. Supply and install new vapour retarder. v. Supply and install new insulation, tapered insulation, and tapered insulation crickets. vi. Supply and install new overlay board. vii. Replace drain inserts or re-use cast drains as shown on the drawings. viii. Supply and install 2-ply SBS membrane. ix. Detail specialized equipment supports as shown in the drawings. x. Supply and install new metal flashings and accessories as shown in the Drawings. Misc. Items i. Remove and dispose of existing railings, except for Area I, where the railings are to be removed, the bases detailed, and the railings re-installed. ii. Remove and dispose of obsolete equipment and cover holes in the slab with steel plate. iii. Remove and re-install metal cladding at the base of wall as required to extend the membrane up the base of the wall. iv. Core new holes through parapet to install new overflow scuppers. v. Raise curbs as required and detail duct supports. vi. Replace steel support angle at the North end of Roof C.
