Solid Waste Disposal Services The Bristol Virginia School Board (the Board) invites bids from qualified vendors to provide Solid Waste collection and disposal services to five (5) of the Bristol Virginia Public Schools' locations. The Bristol Virginia Public School Board requires solid waste collection and disposal services, including furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and transportation of trash/refuse from five (5) Bristol Virginia Public Schools' sites. Scope of Work: The Bidder will supply a total of eight (8) dumpsters for the entire school system. Each dumpster will have door locking capabilities. Placement of the dumpsters will be at the Bristol Virginia School Board's determination. The Bidder will remove and dispose of garbage for the number of dumpsters indicated at each school site at the frequency listed below: Bristol Virginia School Board Office, 280 Lee Street, Bristol, VA 24201
Supply one (1) - 8-yard dumpster with locking capabilities
One (1) dumpster to be picked up once per week Virginia High School, 650 Long Crescent Drive, Bristol, VA 24201
Supply three (3) - 8-yard dumpsters with locking capabilities and one (1) cardboard recycle unit; 4 total
Two (2) dumpsters in breezeway to be picked up daily Monday through Friday for the 180-day term of school in session and revert to one time a week during summer months when there is no school, the two (2) week Christmas Break and the one (1) week Spring Break
One (1) dumpster in the Vocational Department to be picked up once per week during the entire year.

The individual named above is the sole contact for any and all inquiries after this IFB has been released. The contract will be effective from December 1, 2024, through November 30, 2025. This contract may be renewed by the Board upon written agreement of both parties for four (4) successive one year periods, under the terms of the current contract, and at a reasonable time prior to the expiration. The Bristol Virginia School Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities and to contract as the best interest of the Bristol Virginia Public School System may require.
