1) Approximately 2 miles (10,560ft.) of 24ft. wide road, or 28,160 square yards (SY) of Chip Seal on Clear CreekRoad from the intersection of US 212 north of Roberts, to where the pavement ends approximately 100 yds. beyond the intersection of the Cherry Springs Road. 2) Approximately 1.062 Miles (5607 ft) of 27 ft. wide road, or 16,822 square yards (SY) of Chip Seal on Joliet Fromberg Road approximately 1 mile north of Fromberg where the newest asphalt begins continuing north to end of asphalt. 3) Approximately 0.72 miles (3755 ft) of 24 ft. wide road, or 10,013 square yards (SY) of Scrub Seal on Joliet Fromberg Road from the Town of Fromberg Limits to the newest asphalt listed above in #2. 4) Alternative---Fog seal 1, 2 and 3 with CSS-1H 50/50 diluted at 0.01-0.04 rate SCOPE OF WORK: The successful contractor must: 1. Remove debris from cracks, Clean and prep the road surface. 2. Chip seal using approximately .41 to .45 gallons of CHF RS-2P or equivalent emulsified asphalt and 25 lbs. / SY of 3/8 chips. 3. Shot rate and lbs. / SY may vary depending on roadway conditions. 4. Follow Montana Department of Transportation Asphalt Manual guidelines 5. Provide appropriate traffic control. 6. Removal of excess chips 7. Repaint the centerline, double yellow solid stripes. Carbon County may: 1. Stockpile 3/8" Type 2 chips for the contractor at agreed locations For any questions or site inspection call Carbon County Commissioner at 406-446- 1595. Bids must contain proof of Worker's Compensation Insurance, and Liability Insurance in the amount of at least $2,000,000. Bidders must comply with Davis Bacon Wage Rates and use taxed fuel. The successful bidder must give Carbon County at least 24 hours of notice before work begins. Carbon County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or portions thereof. Bids will be reviewed for product quality and warranty as well as lowest bid. Successful bidder shall perform the work as soon as weather allows and before September 15, 2025 and give Carbon County at least 24 hours of notice before work begins.
