The LMP Revitalization project is intended to transform the aging neighborhood park into a larger community-serving recreational facility while still maintaining neighborhood compatibility. The proposed revitalization includes: two lighted youth baseball/softball fields; a shared-use rectangular turf field for soccer and other sports; expanded playground areas; basketball courts and outdoor fitness amenities; picnic and gathering areas; improved restrooms and storage facilities; trail connections to the Riverwalk system; and approximately 97 parking spaces designed below grade to minimize visual and lighting impacts to nearby homes. The revitalization effort also responds to the City’s growing demand for youth sports facilities and expanded park amenities. The project is envisioned as a long-term investment in community recreation and quality of life, providing additional athletic fields and recreational opportunities for residents citywide. At this time, the Larry Moore Park Revitalization Concept does not have an identified funding source and includes approximately $7.2 million in currently unfunded capital project costs within the City’s long-range Capital Improvement Program. The project is included in the City 2026-2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
