The project consists of the following: • Coordinate with the Town of Wallkill Water & Sewer Supervisor or his/her designate. • Furnish and install smart water meters and appurtenances. • Furnish and install expansion tanks, booster pumps, double check valves, pressure relief valves, and ball valves when required. • Ensure water supply interruptions during construction are minimized. • Restore site after installation of new smart water meters. • Contractor shall photograph all installations before and after to confirm all components. • Contractor shall keep and maintain an accurate account of the material and size of the water piping that enters each building/home. Final version shall be provided to both the Town and the Engineer. • The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, utilities, and incidentals necessary to complete the Work as specified in the Technical Specifications and as shown on the Plans. • This project is funded with New York State Financial Assistance and is subject to MWBE and SDVOB goals and additional required documentation. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of Bid Guarantee in an amount equal to at least 5% of the amount of the Bid, payable to the Town of Wallkill as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract. The Town of Wallkill hereinafter called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any formality or technicality in any Bid in the interest of the Owner
