The City of Iowa City, Iowa (City) intends to explore piloting one-way protected bike lanes that are separated from motor vehicle traffic by flexible bollards. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the safety and convenience of bike accommodations, as outlined in the City's Strategic Plan. The City is soliciting qualifications submittals from interested consultants to identify and prioritize suitable locations for the installation of one-way protected bike lanes with flexible bollards. Should the City desire to move forward with a project to install flexible bollards at a recommended location, the City reserves the right to hire the selected consultant for additional services as needed to prepare construction documents. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
