Site work for a civil project in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
City of Elizabeth City Public Utilities requests letters of interest and statements of qualifications from individuals to provide Professional Engineering Services to mitigate constant flooding that has damaged and continues to threaten neighborhoods, roads, and other public infrastructure around Dawson Street. The project will restore the drainage canal running from Park to Dawson Streets, including installation of sheet piles to prevent further erosion; upsize the culvert under Dawson Street that outfalls into the wetl and area adjoining Charles Creek; dredge the outfall to remove sedimentation impairing drainage; and install shoreline sheet piling for added stabilization/erosion control. All questions and requests for clarifications relative to this RFQ shall be submitted in writing via email to dbell@elizabethcitync.gov and rlassiter@elizabethcitync.gov by 1:00 P.M. on August 9, 2023. All responses to questions received will be issued via an Addendum. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
