Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Joplin, Missouri. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The City is accepting submissions for Engineering/Architectural design, plans, specifications, and construction administration services for a new Veteran's Memorial Park and/or an American Legion facility, located at 212 W 8th St, Joplin, MO 64801 in Joplin. The property is in the heart of downtown Joplin owned by the City of Joplin. The selected firm will work with the City and selected representatives on completion of the project, which will include the following traditional project delivery method services below. The selected firm should expect a high level of citizen and stakeholder engagement. A. Preliminary Design a. Facilitate project kickoff meetings with city leaders and community to understand and confirm expectations, including but not limited to features, amenities, future uses, accessibility, surfacing, utilities, site constraints, required permits, and project timeline. b. Confirm and/or refine developed concepts, site plans, and projected costs. Qualified firms interested in providing professional design services for the new park should submit qualifications according to the specifications below. Interested firms shall be licensed design firms in the State of Missouri. The City reserves the right to conduct pre-award discussions and/or pre-contract negotiations with any or all responsive and responsible proposers who submit proposals determined to be reasonably acceptable of being selected for award. Proposers shall be accorded fair and equal treatment with respect to any opportunity for discussion and revision of proposals and such revisions may be permitted after submission of proposals and prior to award of a contract. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive minor irregularities. The City further reserves the right to seek new proposals when such a procedure is reasonable and in the best interests of the City to do so.
