Renovation of a municipal facility in Columbus, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 20,629-square-foot municipal facility.

The scope of this project includes but is not limited to, the following: ABI 1 will add a one-story connector piece to a parachute drying tower which will be approximately 806sf and 61ft. in height. This will include a parachute drying system. The tower will be heated, but otherwise unconditioned. ABI 2 will add a one-story, 1,730 sq.ft. extension to the northwest portion of the project. This expansion will move the Storage, Supply Storage, and OCIE out of the Base Bid area and into the new space provided by ABI 2. ABI 3 will provide an overhead crane system in the Packing Area. As of August 5, 2024, a general contractor has not yet been selected for this project. A firm construction timeline for this project has not yet been released. The following trades are being sought for this project: Underslab Vapor Barrier - Stego, Cast-In-Place Concrete, Precast Structural Concrete, Unit Masonry, Structural Steel, Steel Joist Framing, Steel Decking, Metal Fabrications, Metal Stairs, Metal Ladders, Rough Carpentry, Thermal Insulation, Foamed-In-Place Insulation, Metal Composite Material Wall Panels, Fiber-Cement Siding, Thermoplastic Membrane Roofing, Sheet Metal Flashing and Trim, Roof Specialties, Manufactured Gutters and Downspouts, Roof Accessories, Firestopping, Expansion Joint Cover Assemblies, Hollow Metal Doors and Frames, 08 31 00 Access Doors and Panels, Overhead Coiling Doors, Aluminum-Framed Storefronts, Door Hardware, Glazing, Mirrors, Louvers, Common Work Results for Flooring Preparation, Gypsum Board Assemblies, Tiling, Acoustical Ceilings, Resilient Flooring, Resilient Athletic Flooring, Tile Carpeting, Painting and Coating, Staining and Transparent Finishing, Visual Display Units, Signage, Phenolic Toilet Compartments, Wire Mesh Partitions, Toilet, Bath, and Laundry Accessories, Fire Protection Specialties, Metal Lockers, Projection Screens, Window Shades, Manufactured Wood Casework, Countertops, Fabricated Canopies, PLUMBING, HVAC, ELECTRICAL, COMMUNICATIONS, Site Clearing, Earth Moving, Dewatering, Concrete Paving, Concrete Paving Joint Sealants, Chain Link Fences and Gates, Storm Utility Drainage Piping, Subdrainage MBE 7%, WBE 5% and IVBE 3%. a new Aerial Equipment / Parachute Repair Shop (AEPRS) facility near the existing Columbus Armory / Readiness Center, located on the Columbus Municipal Airport campus. This facility is designed to support the 338th Quartermaster Company (WPRAAA) and the 151st Infantry Battalion (WP5JT0). The new AEPRS will be a 20,629 square foot facility dedicated to the drying, inspecting, repairing, packing, and storing of parachutes, material, and equipment used in airborne operations and RDT&E activities. The personnel working in this facility will service both personnel parachutes and cargo parachutes. Additionally, this facility will be utilized for heavy drop rigging requirements for the Department of Defense. There will be 3 planned Alternate Bid Item's (ABIs): 1.
