This project may contain Federal Funds. This project requires 26% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on October 24, 2024, at 9:30 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase III engineering services are required to provide construction engineering for subject improvement. Work includes, but is not limited to, reconstruction with PCC pavement of the following Larkin Avenue ramps to and from I-80: EB I-80 exit ramp to Larkin Avenue, NB Larkin Avenue entrance ramp to EB I-80, WB I-80 exit ramp to Larkin Avenue and SB Larkin entrance ramp to WB I-80. The work also includes reconstruction of the northwest and southeast shoulder approaches to the Larkin Avenue Bridge over I-80 as well as construction of a proposed retaining wall along the EB exit ramp and noise walls. Related work proposed in this contract includes grading, pavement marking, signage, erosion control, landscaping, drainage improvements, lighting, and traffic signals, any and all incidentals to complete the project. The Prime firm must be prequalified in the Special Services (Construction Inspection) category to be considered for this project. Statements of Interest, including resumes of the key people noted above, must be submitted electronically to the Central Bureau of Design and Environment through the Engineering and Prequalification Agreement System (EPAS).
