The Granite City Fire Department is requesting Proposals for building repairs/construction for all stations, plumbing (#3) and HVAC (#1) and asbestos abatement services at Station #2 and #3 located at #1 2300 Madison Avenue, Station #2, 2220 Rock Road and Station #3 located at 2231 Richmond Avenue, Granite City, Illinois. (Station #2) The specifications of said services are for each building, respectively as indicated in the following areas: Asbestos Abatement in flooring at both Station #2 and #3 1. Removal, abate and disposal of floor tile materials. 2. Supply and install new materials a. Remove/Abate everything in affected area of flooring tiles. All employees should be certified. b. Install new resilient flooring and new vinyl base in abated areas. c. Clean up entire work area (all tiles and other materials). HVAC at all stations 1. Clean out ducts in both Station #2 and #3. 2. HVAC repair at Station #1. 3. Clean up of materials at all stations Plumbing Repair Main Building 8. Repair of existing pipe and cast iron. 9. Disconnect and remove existing cast iron. 10. Break up and remove concrete required to replace underground cast iron and pipes. 11. Perform excavation of site and connect to existing sanitary at clean out. Backfill and compact excavation. 12. Provide and install PVC underground rough in.
