Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Los Banos, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.
The major work consists of but is not limited to: demolition and site preparation; paving and hardscape; retaining and seat wall forming and installation, playground area with drain sumps; installation of playground area surfacing; site furnishing installation (including playground equipment, fencing, benches, etc.); landscape and irrigation improvements; and other site work. Deadline to Submit Questions/Clarifications 5:00 p.m. August 15, 2024 The time for completion: Construction complete with project acceptance to start maintenance by April 1, 2025 Maintenance with final project acceptance by June 30, 2025 A payment bond prepared and executed in accordance with California Civil Code Section 9550 and a bond for faithful performance of the contract will be required of the successful bidder who is awarded the contract. The successful bidder must comply with the latest general prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of Industrial Relations, State of California, Department of Industrial Relations and is to be paid to the various craftsmen and laborers required to construct said improvements and is made a part of the specifications and contract for said work to which reference is hereby made for further particulars. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal or awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Contractor registration information can be found at online Each bid shall be accompanied by cashier's or certified check or by a bidder's bond, made payable to the City of Los Banos and executed by a corporate surety licensed to issue surety bonds in the State of California, for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of said bid and no bid shall be considered unless such cashier's or certified check or bidder's bond is enclosed therewith. The successful bidder of this project shall have the following current and active California State Contractor's License at the time of the submission of the bid and throughout the duration of the contract: Class A or C-27. A C-27 bidder will also need to possess a C-61/D-34 or retain a subcontractor with a C-61/D-34 or Class A license for the installation of the playground and shade sail. Bidders shall refer to the Contract Document's Information for Bidders for complete instructions. Bidders are solely responsible for the cost of preparing their bids. The City specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects, in bidding not involving time, or quality of the work. The City may reject any and all bids and waive any minor irregularities in the bids. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Bid Item A1- Temporary Erosion & Sedimentation Control: The lump sum price bid for this item shall include all costs for purchase, delivery, installation, and erosion control measures and BMPs as indicated on the Drawings and required by the SWPPP. The item also includes labor, equipment, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals and for doing all the work required by the Drawings and Specifications which is not specifically set forth in the Bid Form as a pay item. Bid Item A2- Construction Fencing: The lump sum price bid for this item shall include all costs for purchase, delivery, installation, and maintenance of the perimeter construction fence as indicated on the Drawings. The item also includes labor, equipment, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals and for doing all the work required by the Drawings and Specifications which is not specifically set forth in the Bid Form as a pay item. Bid Item A3- Clear & Grub: The square foot price bid for this item shall include full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals; for doing all work involved in site preparation (clearing, grubbing, disposal, and saw-cutting) for saw cutting, removal of utilities, removal of concrete and AC pavements and vertical curbs, curb and gutters, removal and grinding of concrete and AC pavements, removal of site furnishings, signage and other miscellaneous demolition items, soil clearing, grubbing and removal as specified in the Specifications and Plans. Bid Item A4- Site Grading: The square foot price bid for this item shall include full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals; for doing all work involved in site grading (mass & fine) including rough grading, fine grading, soil removal and disposal, as required in the Plans and per Specifications.
