Demolition, site work, remodeling and renovation of a water / sewer project in Wyoming, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Phase one of the transmission main project has been broken into four contracts roughly described below: Contract No. 1 - WTP to US-31 Contract No. 2 - US-31 to N/S easement 1/4 mile west of 96th Avenue Contract No. 3 - N/S easement 1/4 mile west of 96th Avenue Contract No. 4 - WTP Surge Suppression Improvements The City of Wyoming regional water system provides water to a significant portion of Ottawa and Kent Counties, serving 11 communities in whole or part. The estimated service population is approximately 250,000 persons. The City of Wyoming Donald K Shine Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is located at 16700 New Holland Street and is a conventional surface water treatment plant with source water from Lake Michigan. Finished drinking water is supplied by pumps at the WTP through two large parallel pipes which end approximately 26 miles east at the Gezon Pumping Station in the City of Wyoming. The two pipes are primarily prestressed cylinder concrete pipe (PCCP) of 42-inch and 54-inch diameters. The proposed transmission main is the first phase of a multi-phased project to extend a third transmission main from the WTP to the Gezon Pumping Station. Contract No. 1 consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: o 27,100 feet of 60" Steel Transmission Main including necessary fittings and appurtenances o 2,550 feet of 54" Steel Transmission Main including necessary fittings and appurtenances o 2,200 feet of 54" PCCP Transmission Main removal o Corrosion control and cathodic protection system o 415 feet of 72" diameter trenchless casing. o 27,800 feet of complete road reconstruction o 2,300 feet of HMA pathway restoration o Removal and replacement of storm sewer as necessary for construction. Work also includes, but is not limited to tree removal, maintenance of traffic, drain crossings, dewatering operations, driveway restoration, and lawn and roadside restoration. Contractor must furnish adequate material, equipment, labor, and supervision to complete the specified work, which also includes testing and placing the systems in operation in compliance with the standards of these specifications. 3.2 CONTRACT NO. 2 Contract No. 2 consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: o The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: o 23,200 feet of 60" Steel Transmission Main including necessary fittings and appurtenances 3 o Corrosion control and cathodic protection system o 21,600 feet of complete gravel road reconstruction o 16,400 feet of underdrain o Removal and replacement of storm sewer as necessary for construction. Work also includes, but is not limited to tree removal, maintenance of traffic, drain crossings, dewatering operations, driveway restoration, and lawn, easement, and roadside restoration. Contractor must furnish adequate material, equipment, labor, and supervision to complete the specified work, which also includes testing and placing the systems in operation in compliance with the standards of these specifications. 3.3 CONTRACT NO. 3 Contract No. 3 consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: o 2,200 feet of 54" Steel Transmission Main including necessary fittings and appurtenances o 5,400 feet of 48" Steel Transmission Main including necessary fittings and appurtenances o 2,900 feet of 42" Steel Transmission Main including necessary fittings and appurtenances o 2,300 feet of 54" PCCP Transmission Main removal o Corrosion control and cathodic protection system o 2,300 feet of road restoration o Removal and replacement of storm sewer as necessary for construction Work also includes, but is not limited to tree removal, maintenance of traffic, drain crossings, dewatering operations, driveway restoration, and lawn, easement, and roadside restoration. Contractor must furnish adequate material, equipment, labor, and supervision to complete the specified work, which also includes testing and placing the systems in operation in compliance with the standards of these specifications.
