Renovation of an educational facility in Palatine, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
B.Work includes (but is not limited to) the following temperature control and electrical work. 1. Temperature Control work includes: a.Replacement of terminal unit controllers in Buildings X,Y, Z. b.Installation of new network controllers. c.Installation of new field communication wiring linking the new controllers. d.Integration of the new terminal unit controllers into the Campus' Tridium supervisory platform 2. Electrical work includes: a.As required to support mechanical scope. E.Bid security in the form of bid bond in an amount equalto 10 percent (10%) of the aggregate of the Base Bidamount and all Alternate Bid amounts shall be submittedwith the bid. F.Performance, Labor and Material Payment Bonds, andCertificate of Insurance will be required from the successful bidder. G.Bids shall be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to: Harper College, Purchasing Department, located in A-Building, Room A-217, 1200 W. Algonquin Road;Palatine, Illinois 60067. H.No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety days after submission without the consent of the Board of Trustees. I. Any bid submitted unsealed, unsigned, fax transmission,e-mail, or received subsequent to the aforementioned dateand time, may be disqualified and returned to the bidder. J.Harper College reserves the right to reject any or all bidsor parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding procedures, and to award the contract in amanner best serving the interest of the College. K.All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all Contractorsworking on public works. Bidder must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor, includingEqual Employment Opportunity Laws. L.Contractors shall pay not less than the prevailing rates ofwages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on PublicWorks Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). M.Bidders shall comply with Business Enterprise Program: Participation and Utilization Plan developed byHarper College. There is a 30 percent aspirational goal onthe contract. O.The successful bidder will enter into a Contract with theOwner in the form of an Agreement as provided in the Project Manual. P.Please submit any questions regarding the bidding documents by Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. CentralTime. 1.
