The improvements for the 2024 Road Sealant Project Phase II project will generally include striping/marking removal, slurry seal, microsurfacing, 3-step treatment, and traffic striping/pavement marking. The work will take place on approximate 11 miles of various roadways in the neighborhoods of Point Reyes Station, Lucas Valley, and Nicasio. The Engineer's estimate for this project is $2,300,000. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. To bid on this Project, the Bidder and all subcontractors are required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to the Labor Code. The Bidder's and all subcontractors' registration must remain active throughout the term of the Contract. A Bid Bond, cash, certified check, or cashier's check, in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount payable to the County of Marin shall accompany the Proposal. Award of contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder whose proposal complies with prescribed requirements, and will be within sixty (60) days after the date of the Bid Opening. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Sections 7201 and 9203, the County of Marin shall retain 5 percent of the contract price until final completion and acceptance of the project.
