Question Deadline 09/22/2024 at 10:00 PM CT The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for a qualifed contractor to; Furnish & install windows and casings at the Oakland Maintenance Garage located at 18818 Highway 59, Oakland, IA 51560. Specifications for materials and site photos can be found on the Attachment tab. Scope: Remove and replace two (2) office windows and Remove and replace two (2) breakroom windows and casing. Contractor to confirm measurements. It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders as work performance and work capacity. Estimated project start date- Upon issuance of award (The date shall be coordinated with the IDOT Project Manager. (This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract). Estimated project end date- 05/05/2025 (This includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance typically used in construction bids) Note: Contractors to propose a suggested revised completion date taking into consideration weather conditions or other factors.
