Project: General Construction consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for the replacement of two (2) roofs located at 1650 North Shore Road (Day Town Hall) and 1652 North Shore Road (Day Museum) Project Specifications: TOWN HALL: Remove existing shingles, drip and rake edge, and snow slides. Install Grace ice and water shield on entire roof, install ridge vents where existing, center ridge vent, re-flash cupola, install watershed dormer (or cricket) at rear doorway to community room. Install metal drip and rake edge around perimeter, color: white. Install Owens Corning Duration shingles, color: Colonial Slate with manufacturer's 30-year warranty. Remove all construction debris from premises and dispose of properly. Keep job site in safe manner around the building during construction. 3-year warranty on installation unless covered by 30- year warranty Project Schedule: Project must be completed no later than September 30, 2024. Within five (5) days after receiving notice of award, the Proposer shall provide a schedule of services to be performed that complies with the timeline for substantial completion. Project Specifications: MUSEUM: Remove existing shingles and snow slides. Install Grace ice and water shield on entire roof. Remove the plumbing vent stack from valley out to new location center of roof, not in the valley. Remove all fascia and rake boards and replace with plastic PVC color: white. Install metal drip and rake edge around perimeter, color: white. Install Owens Corning Duration shingles, color: Colonial Slate with manufacturer's 30-year warranty. Remove all construction debris from premises and dispose of properly. Keep job site in safe manner around the building during construction. 3-year warranty on installation unless covered by 30- year warranty Insurance liability amount is $1,000,000.00. New contract document uploaded to reflect the amendment. Bid must contain a non-collusion and corporate (for LLC, corporation or partnership) affidavit executed by the bidder or his authorized representative. Town is tax exempt and this project requires that contractor abides by prevailing wages. The bidder to whom the contract will be awarded shall, within five (5) days after the date of Notice of Award, provide the Town with the required proof of insurance, and an executed contract for the work. Failure to do so will result in Bidder's forfeit of contract work and bid deposit. No bidder may withdraw his bid within fortyfive (45) days after the date set for the opening thereof. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids, or any authorized postponement thereof. The Town and its representatives will not offer or supply anyone the list of people that have obtained a copy of these bid specifications or cost estimates for the project prior to the opening of the bids.
