The County of Humboldt ("County") in conjunction with the homeowner, April Amelung, is requesting quotes from qualified contractors to provide professional construction services for home repairs on an 828 square foot mobile home including, but not limited to, kitchen remodel to meet ADA, replace front and back doors for ADA, repair specific floor area from water damage, misc. drywall repair, interior paint, ramp surface paint with sanded deck paint, replace water heater, check and repair electrical and all outlets for safety, and other work as defined by the statement of work for 3633 Patricks Point Drive, Space #6, Trinidad, California, 95570, owned by April Amelung. The County of Humboldt is making an Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation loan to the homeowner. The homeowner will contract with the selected bidder; however, invoices will be paid by the County. The County has inspected this property and drafted the Scope of Work [Attachment A] below for an estimated cost of $33,550. Bids should approximate this amount. An Addendum to Proposal and Contract in substantially the same format as Attachment C, attached hereto, will be executed with the successful individual(s) or firm(s). Any objections to the terms and conditions not made prior to or with submission of the Quote will be considered waived. This project is exempt from State and Federal Prevailing Wage requirements. Contractor must be licensed in good standing and provide evidence of insurance. The County reserves the right to do any of the following: 1. Cancel the RFQ process at any time 2. Amend or modify the Scope of Work prior to the submission of proposals as necessity may dictate 3. Cancel the RFQ after opening but prior to award if the County determines that cancellation is in the best interest of the County for the reasons including, but not limited to: a. The service(s) are no longer required b. Services in the proposals received are at an unreasonable cost c. Proposals did not independently arrive in open competition, were collusive or were not submitted in good faith d. The County determines, after analysis of the statements, that needs can be satisfied through an alternative method 4. Negotiate contract terms and conditions with any qualified proposer 5. Reject any response which is in any way not in compliance with the RFQ 6. Decline award of a contract
