The work consists of the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment, and supervision for the construction of the Trinidad-Westhaven Emergency Intertie Project. The work generally includes, but is not limited to constructing approximately 3,100 Ft of 6-inch pipe to connect the two distribution systems, three fire hydrants, an intertie pump station (IPS), and electrical connection at the Trinidad's existing water treatment plant (WTP), as shown on the plans by PACE Engineering, Inc. A conditional or qualified bid will not be accepted if it modifies the Plans or Specifications or method of work. Questions regarding the Plans and Specifications shall be submitted in writing to Dagan Short at GHD Inc., 718 Third Street, Eureka, CA, by email at dagan.short@ghd.com, or by fax at 707-444-8330 Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in an amount of not less than 10 percent of the amount bid. Successful bidders will be required to furnish both a Payment Bond and Performance Bond in the full amount of the Contract Price. In accordance with Public Contract Code Section 10263 the Contractor will be allowed to substitute securities for monies normally withheld by the Owner to ensure performance under this contract. The general prevailing wage rates applicable to the work are set by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California. The Contractor will be required to comply with any changes in these wage rates as they are updated by the State government at no cost to the Owner. Project must comply with regulations regarding labor compliance monitoring and prevailing wage requirements.
