Reference Number 0000359670 The City of Aurora is requesting written proposals from firms to provide engineering design and related services for preliminary, final, and replacing Laredo Street Bridge, spanning the High Line Canal. The Laredo Street Bridge was constructed in 1970 and has been maintained by the City of Aurora since that time. The bridge is currently located on a two lane, bi-directional local street, serving residents of the Colfax Avenue and the Laredo Street Highline Subdivisions. The existing structure has been found to be structurally in poor condition. The city envisions a new structure, providing smooth traveling lanes and increased sidewalks width as well as a safe route for multimodal transportation for citizens from the neighboring communities and the High Line Canal Trail.
