Reference Number : 0000359058 The Work to be performed under the 2024 Water System Improvement Project consists of furnishing all labor, materials equipment, tools, and supplies including the installation of new water line replacement which covers approximately 11,210LF of 6", 8" & 12" diameter water distribution lines including valves, fittings, fire hydrants, and residential & commercial water service line re-connections at locations within the City of Aurora. This project is Aurora Water's annual program to replace water line in areas where elevated pipeline breaks have occurred. The issues related to the pipelines could be related to asset age, expansive soils, corroded pipe, installation defects, or defective appurtenances. Pipe replacement includes possible lead and galvanized water service replacement. The estimated cost for this project is from $8,500,000.00 to $9,000,000.00. The Contract Documents require that all work be Substantially Complete by August 30, 2025 with Final Completion by September 30, 2025. Failure to complete the work as prescribed shall be considered as a Breach of Contract and subject to Liquidated Damages which are $2,000.00 per day.
