for questions is Monday, August 26, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. Contractors can either mail submittals, deliver submittals to the Town Office on the 2nd floor, or place submittals in the black drop box labeled "Town of Emmitsburg" at the rear of the Emmitsburg Community Center (300A South Seton Ave. Emmitsburg MD). If a submittal receipt is requested, please email info@emmitsburgmd.gov or call 301-600-6300. At the minimum, all bids must include the following: All bids must meet and/or exceed the requirements contained herein:
1. Design of Welcome Sign
a. The sign must contain:

National Register of Historic Places
b. The Town seal (see Exhibit A) should be incorporated into the design.
c. Single sided, 84" x 50" x .25 layered custom routed aluminum with dimensional letters, a
dark background and contrasting lettering (at least two-color options should be provided).
d. Design should lend to good visibility and contrast.
e. "Emmitsburg" letters to be 3/8" beveled acrylic backed with E/G reflective custom printed
and laminated vinyl.
f. "Welcome to..." letters to be .25" thick flat cut acrylic custom painted stud mounted letters.
g. Concrete footer with 24-inch J-bolt and breakaway bases.
h. 6-inch square 72-inch aluminum post horizontal between the two signposts for the Town to
mount additional signage on (e.g. Sustainable Maryland certified sign, Tree City USA sign).
2. Two-Sided Alternate
a. Firms should provide, as an alternate, a two-sided option to provide a thank you to
visitors on the reverse side. The back of the Welcome Sign must contain Thank you for visiting Town of Emmitsburg Maryland
