Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in New Rochelle, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; water / sewer project; pre-engineered storage facility; pre-engineered storage facility; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The City of New Rochelle is seeking proposals from qualified engineering firms to perform the following tasks: Investigate the proposed location, identified in Exhibit F, for a future restroom/storage building. Design the site civil improvements including proposed ADA pathways, utility connections (i.e., water, sewer and electric), and restroom/storage building foundation pad. The restroom/ storage building will be designed and constructed by Romtec, Inc. under a separate contract. Conceptual pathway location is shown in Exhibit F. Design an overhead sign structure to be fabricated and installed at the main entrance of Ward Acres Park along Broadfield Road as part of the project. Proposed location and design example is shown in Exhibit G. Develop bid documents for the project, including Bid Form, technical specifications and signed/sealed engineering drawings. Standard Front-End documents will be provided by the City for assembly. SCOPE OF WORK The selected consultant will work with the City to design the necessary improvements needed at the proposed site of the new restroom/storage building located along Quaker Ridge Road in Ward Acres Park. The proposed site will require the addition of electricity, water, and sanitary sewer. Based on City records, there is a sanitary sewer line running underneath Quaker Ridge Road. The addition of water service and electricity will need to be coordinated with Veolia and Con Edison respectively. The City has identified Romtec, Inc. to design, furnish, and potentially construct the restroom/storage building. The Romtec bathroom will include four (4) unisex ADA compliant bathrooms and a mechanical closet that bifurcates the building. The backside of the building will contain a storage garage to be used by Parks & Recreation Department staff. See attached Exhibits H and I for preliminary design drawing and site expectations. Design work for the preparation of the site, as required in Exhibit I, is included in this procurements scope of work.
