The project includes the following Work: The public improvement is located in St. John, Indiana, and shall consist of sports lighting, and associated improvements. Bidders are required to secure their Bids by an acceptable certified Bid Bond or cashiers check to be submitted with their Bid on the designated Bid Bond form for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount, made payable to the Town of St. John, Indiana as security for the execution of the contract under the terms embodied in the Contract Documents. Pre-qualification All Bidders must be properly licensed in the Town of St. John at the time bids are received. Additionally, the Contractor shall have sufficient experience, as determined by the Owner and its representatives, in the field of sports lighting to warrant release of the bid documents. All bidders will be required to submit a prequalification statement prior to receiving bid packages. If this information is not satisfactorily completed, the bid documents shall be withheld. Upon request, the Contractor shall demonstrate they successfully completed at least four (4) other sports lighting projects in the past six years. The minimum cost per contract for the prequalification is $100,000 per contract. The prequalification work must have occurred in the states of Indiana, Michigan, or Illinois. The bidder to whom the work is awarded will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Each Bidder shall be prepared to promptly execute the construction Agreement, furnish the required bonds and certificates of insurance coverage for the Work, and to commence the Work in accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents in the event the award of the Work is made to them. Upon the completion of the Work as defined by the Contract Documents, the Contractor (awarded Bidder) shall be required to furnish a maintenance bond, conditioned to guarantee the Work for a period of two (2) years.
