This is a job order contract, which shall be used to provide the City with a readily available work force for repairs, alterations to existing facilities, emergency repairs and new construction, as the City deems appropriate. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, diagnostic and troubleshooting of electrical circuits and/or electrical components; installation of new circuits, circuit breakers, contractors, transformers, variable frequency drives, motors, switches, relays, fixtures, and similar electrical components; high voltage (12.4 kV) switchgear switching, service, and repairs; calibrate, program, and/or replace relays and breakers; electrical panel service, repair, and maintenance; transformer service, repair, maintenance, and/or replacement when necessary; and miscellaneous associated work at such times and locations as required. Question Submission Deadline: August 21, 2024, 5:00pm Question Response Deadline: August 23, 2024, 5:00pm The total term of this agreement will not exceed three (3) years LIQUIDATED DAMAGES the Contractor will pay to the City of Monterey the sum of one thousand and two hundred dollars ($1,200) per day for each and every days delay beyond the time prescribed to complete the work or the actual damages ascertained, whichever will be greater; At the time of the bid opening, the successful Bidder must be legally entitled to perform contracts requiring a Class C-10 Contractor s license and a minimum of five (5) years of experience working with high voltage (12.4 kV) switchgear, substations, and generators. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids as the best interests of the City may dictate and, to the extent permitted by law, waive any irregularity in any bid. If there is any reason for believing that collusion exists among the bidders, the City may reject any or all bids.
