Consultant to perform comprehensive Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) Services during the construction of Gwaltney Way Extension; Isle of Wight County, Virginia. The project consists of the extension of Gwaltney Way approximately 1000 linear feet to the west. The extended roadway will include two new entrances to an adjacent development and terminate in a cul-de-sac. The two-lane section will include 28-feet of pavement width, graded shoulders and roadside ditches. The project will also include a 900-foot sidewalk and bus pullout. It is anticipated that construction will take no more than six months. The project is funded by the Virginia Economic Development Access Program, a state-funded program that is administered by VDOT and shall be constructed in conformance with the VDOT 2020 Road and Bridge Specifications, unless otherwise noted. Project shall be in compliance with VDOT Secondary Street Acceptance criteria. The respondents to this RFP shall not contact, either directly or indirectly, any other employee or agent of the County regarding this RFP. Any such unauthorized contact may disqualify the offeror from procurement. In compliance with this RFP, and subject to all the conditions thereof, if the offer is accepted within one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days from the date of the subsequent offers for particular projects, the Offeror shall furnish the services upon which prices were negotiated for the project. The undersigned certifies he has read, understands, and agrees to all terms, conditions, and requirements of this RFP, and is authorized to contract on behalf of the firm. The County will engage in individual discussions on the basis of initial responses with emphasis on professional competence, to provide the required services.
