Site work, remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Petersburg, Virginia. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
This project addresses improving security at Sisisky Gate ACP at Ft Gregg-Adams, VA by adding AVBs and its supporting infrastructure including electrical, overspeed detection, and wrong-way detection. The gate was analyzed with multiple threat paths and scenarios, in accordance with Army Standards, SDDCTEA Pamphlets, and UFC, in order to determine the location of the AVBs to defeat the threat and create enough time for non-threat vehicles to stop. The SDDCTEA Hybrid Beacon Safety System is being applied to Sisisky Gate ACP which includes installing signs and signals. Utilities are required to support the AVBs and Safety System. This analysis does not include the design of the actual AVB’s and the ancillary utilities and structures. All information provided is to be considered recommendations and not for construction.
