FOPR No: MACC IV 24-1042825 Project Location: Hill Air Force Base, UT Question Deadline 08/12/2024 at 10:00 AM MT Questions resulting from this FOPR, or site visit, shall be in writing to the POCs Rick Thomas, 801-586-2745 Richard.thomas.52@us.af.mil Performance Period: 240 calendar days Project Summary A full 100% design was completed for the fire protection upgrades and repairs required by B1515 to comply with code. This design, BLDG 1515 REPAIR FIRE SUPPRESSION SOFTWARE SUPPORT, is a complete ready to advertise (RTA) for construction design including specifications, calculations, and a design analysis. B1515 was broken up into 4 phases (See Sheet G-003 of the design) with phase 4 on the south end of the building and phase 1 on the north end. The design is broken up into three (3) Steps each focusing on one (1) or two (2) of the phases (See Sheet G-003 of the design). The entire design package has been provided for reference but the scope and requirements of this project are for the completion of Step 1, phases 3 and 4, only. This project is for the repair by replacement of the existing fire alarm system with a combination fire alarm mass notification system and replacement of sprinkler heads in B1515 in compliance with Step 1 (Phases 3 & 4 only) of the provided design (See Sheet G-003 of the design). The construction and installation phase of this project will require weekly coordination meetings and working with the facility user and around any production or other work requirements that they may have. Every effort will be made by the government to assist in the timely and efficient execution of the project. All work under this project will be under CLIN 0001, Repair Fire Protection B1515. Site Inspection: Includes field testing, samples of soils, concrete, asphalt, paints and coatings. Special Inspector should be involved as required. o Site Utilities: Inspections required while the excavation is open for government owned and privatized utilities. o Concrete footings, walls/columns, shear walls, slabs on grade, handicap ramps: Includes formwork, rebar placement, elevations. o Masonry walls: Rebar placement including bond beams. o Framing prior to wallboard placement. o Penetration assemblies (firestops and fire resistance rated wall assemblies, duct and air penetration, pipe penetrations, membrane penetration) o Suspended ceilings o Roofing, roof sheathing, weather barrier, insulation, windows o Stucco/lathing o Brick Veneer o Drywall (gypsum board) o Stairs/steps for proper railing height, landing, exiting out the facility Shaft wall (if ever applicable) o Gas pipe test o Rough in Mechanical, Heating/Cooling/Water heaters, Hood Types 1 and 2. o Rough in plumbing, water heater (seismic straps, pan, and drainage requirements), draining/venting systems in bathrooms, sump pump and discharge, shower pan test (where applicable). o Rough in electrical: panels, mounting junction boxes, grounding, switches, data wires, receptacles, fire alarm.
