The Site of the Work is located at Beltway 3090 Zone Reservoir, 890 Park Vista Drive, Las Vegas, Nevada, Clark County, Nevada. Question Deadline 08/23/2024 at 10:00 AM PT The Work consists of modification and removal of existing in basin mixers, installation of THM sprayers and blowers; sealing wall penetrations; modification of existing reservoir roof vents; installation of new electrical distribution equipment and hardware including remote starters; a new feeder breaker to be installed in the existing switchboard; extension of existing grounding and underground system; trenching, backfill, underground conduit, concrete pull boxes, pavement reconstruction; equipment pads; enclosures with back panels and interlocked disconnect/receptacles; concrete coring; specialized cable fittings; modifications to an extension of an existing distributed control system including a new Ethernet/fiber-connection I/O chassis(Allen-Bradley ControlLogix); hardwiring between distributed I/O control and individual motor starts and alarm points; coordination of specialty contractor/supplier whose Work will interface with electrical equipment and components to be installed under this contract. The Work also includes the calibration, testing, start-up, and adjustment as necessary to provide a complete and working THM treatment addition to an existing facility. Engineer's estimate: $1,201,600 Bid date notes: Bids shall be submitted electronically on the NGEM System at online Bids will be received on the date of the Bid opening. Bids received or submitted after this deadline will not be accepted. The server clock shall govern. The proposed Work is generally described as follows: The Site of the Work is located at Beltway 3090 Zone Reservoir, 890 Park Vista Drive, Las Vegas, Nevada, Clark County, Nevada. The Work also includes the calibration, testing, start-up, and adjustment as necessary to provide a complete and working THM treatment addition to an existing facility The Owner requires the Project commence within 30 consecutive Calendar Days after the effective date of the Final Notice to Proceed and the Project be completed within 210 consecutive Calendar Days after the effective date of the Limited Notice to Proceed. The Work is a Public Works Project as defined by Chapter 338 of the Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) and all Bidders are required to comply with, and the Contract shall be awarded and administered in accordance with, the laws contained in that chapter. Bidders are hereby notified that the prevailing wage rates established by the Nevada State Labor Commission must be paid to all workmen engaged in the performance of any public works construction contracts awarded for the amount of $100,000 or more. Current wage rates and addenda for Clark County are available at online and are hereby incorporated into the Contract Documents by reference. It is the Contractor's responsibility to recheck for amendments prior to preparing the final Bidding Documents. This project has a designated Public Works Project Identifying Number by the Nevada State Labor Commission and all correspondence forwarded to the Nevada State Labor Commission shall reference this identifying number. Pursuant to NRS 624.700, Bidders and all their Subcontractors must be properly licensed Contractors in the State of Nevada for the scope of work proposed. Attendance at a pre-Bid conference, as specified in the Instructions to Bidders, is encouraged. Bidders are encouraged to read the Contract Documents before the pre-Bid conference to obtain a good understanding of the Work. Among other things, various aspects of the Work and some Contract provisions, including recent changes to standard Contract provisions, will be described. Comments and questions from potential Bidders are encouraged. Bidders will be required to provide Bid Security as described in Document 00 21 13, Instructions to Bidders and must accompany each Bid. The Contractor will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for faithful performance and payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract in accordance with Chapter 339 of the NRS. The Contractor and all Subcontractors will be required to provide insurance as set forth in the Contract Documents. This insurance shall include coverage required by NRS 616 (Industrial Insurance) and NRS 617 (Occupational Diseases). The requirements of NRS 612 (Unemployment Compensation) are also in effect. Pursuant to NRS 338.143, the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including, without limitation, the right to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids, and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of Owner to make an award to that Bidder. The Owner also reserves the right to waive informalities. Bids will be evaluated as prescribed by the Contract Documents and Nevada State law.
