Supply of Roadway Construction Materials. Requested Deliveries Must Be Delivered Within Forty-eight Hours of Request to the Dpw Municipal Garage Yard or Within Two (2) Hours of Request to Project Site. Materials Consist of: Item No. 1 - Hot Mix Asphalt Base Course, Item No. 2 - Hot Mix Asphalt Surface Course, Item No. 3 - Sand Borrow, Item No. 4 - Gravel Borrow, Item No. 5 - Processed Gravel for Subbase, Item No. 6 - Crushed Stone (1 1/2 "), Item No. 7 - Crushed Stone (3/4"). All Items, Where Applicable, Must Comply With the Latest Edition of Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Standard Specifications for Highways & Bridges. All Roadway Material Products Listed Above Will Be Purchased on an Outright "as Needed" Basis. No Minimum Quantity Per Order is Allowed. The Accepted Unit Price for Items 1 Through 7 Will Remain in Effect Throughout the Initial Term of the Contract and for Any Option to Renew Exercised at the City's Sole Discretion, Unless Otherwise Noted. All Bidding Procedures Shall Conform to M.g.l. C.30, 39m, C.149, 44a-j as Applicable, and Bids Are Subject to Minimum Prevailing Wage Rates as Required by M.g.l. C.149 26-27h, as Applicable. Due to Covid-19 Protocols, Until Further Notice, Has Revised How Orders May Be Received. Bid Security Shall Be at Least Five Percent (5%) of the Greatest Possible Bid Amount, Considering All Alternates. The Bid Security in the Form of a Bid Bond Shall Be: a) With a Surety Company Qualified to Do Business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Satisfactory to Owner; B) Conditional Upon the Faithful Performance by the Principal of the Agreements Contained in the Bid; and C) Submitted With Your E-bid Online. a Bid Security in the Form of Cash, or a Certified Check, Treasurer's, or Cashier's Check Issued by a Responsible Bank or Trust Company and Made Payable to the Owner Must Be Submitted With a Completed Cash Bid Bond Affidavit Form and Received by the Owner Before the Time of Bidding. In Addition, the Bidder Must Also Submit a Completed Cash Bid Bond Affidavit Form With Their E-bid. Drivers of Bituminous Concrete (Asphalt) and Ready-mix Concrete (Cement) Are Covered by the Prevailing Wage Law, C.149, 27f While on-site at the Public Works Construction Site. Drivers Are Not Covered by the Prevailing Wage Law While Off-site, Including Time Spent Over-the-road and Picking-up Materials. In Accordance With the Provisions of Applicable Statutes, Laws, Rules, Regulations, and Ordinances, the City of Marlborough Does Not Discriminate in Employment or the Provision of Services and All Qualified Contractors Will Receive Consideration Without Regard to Race, Age, Color, Religious Creed, Gender, Handicap, Sexual Orientation, Veteran's Status or National Origin. The City Reserves the Right to Cancel This Procurement Process, or Reject in Whole or in Part Any and All Bids, if the City Determines That Cancellation or Rejection Serves the Best Interests of the Public to Do So.
