Reference Number 0000359930 The City of Greeley, Water and Sewer Department, (City) needs the services of a qualified irrigation company to install an irrigation system according to construction drawings, details, and specifications for the designed irrigation system. Installation work is for the City's 0.75 acreXeriscape Demonstration Garden located at 2503 Reservoir Road, Greeley, CO 80631. Installation work will be based off the current point of connection for the existing mainline and an irrigation design that will be provided. The 0.75 acre Xeriscape Demonstration Garden was created in 1997-1999 to showcase a mix of water-wise perennials, annuals, ornamental grasses, bulbs, trees and shrubs. The goal of the Xeriscape Demonstration Garden is to be a local attraction to the area and the surrounding community. Key elements for the garden include demonstration of plant materials that are easy to maintain and resilient, educational opportunities to teach others about landscapes and a local resource highlighting water-wise landscape.In addition to plant material, the garden houses two art sculptures, a fountain, sitting areas, bee hotels and a community little library box.Plant material has evolved with various staff members changing and contributing to random mini- demonstration areas.Typically, budget allows only one seasonal position to maintain this garden and the irrigation system.
