Site work for a road / highway in Columbia, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is soliciting for the application of Reflectorized Paint, Thermoplastic Pavement Markings, and Raised Pavement Markers in Cherokee County in accordance with the below specifications. These markings are to be placed in coordination of pavement patching and resurfacing operations. Paint shall be placed within 7 days of paving complete. Thermoplastic and Raised Pavement markers should be placed at a later date according to the specifications below. Bidder must have the resources to fulfill the requirements listed within the allotted time period. Question Deadline 08/21/2024 at 12:00 AM ET, Questions Must Be Received . Any prospective offeror desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, drawings, specifications, etc., must request it in writing. Questions regarding the original solicitation or any amendment must be received by the Procurement Officer (Ronnice Ferrell, FerrellRH@scdot.org) no later than five (5) days prior to opening unless an earlier date is stated on the Cover Page. Award will be posted on 09/17/2024. Start date: 09/04/2024 End date: 09/03/2025. Dates provided are estimates only. Any resulting contract will begin on the date specified in the notice of award. See clause entitled "Term of Contract - Effective Date/Initial Contract Period". SCOPE OF WORK/SPECIFICATIONS The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is soliciting for the application of Reflectorized Paint, Thermoplastic Pavement Markings, and Raised Pavement Markers in Cherokee County in accordance with the below specifications. Bidder must have the resources to fulfill the requirements listed within the allotted time period.Pavement Markings Fast Dry Waterborne Paint: described herein shall include the furnishing of all implements, machinery, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, labor, personal protective equipment, licenses, fuel, incidentals, work zone traffic control and associated devices to install new or refresh old 4" pavement lines, including both white and yellow markings. Skip lines will be paid for by the total length that material is applied. This work will include 2' mini skips and 10' skip lines (both white and yellow). All work shall be subject to the supervision and satisfaction of the Department. The Contractor shall thoroughly clean all dust, grease, oil and foreign matter prior to application. The Contractor shall perform application on dry surfaces only. SCDOT does not anticipate the edges of pavement to need cleaning prior to the application of paint. However, if the contractor determines the edges need cleaning, contractor shall skip this road and notify the Engineer. The Contractor shall apply marking material(s) at the specified location, pattern, and alignment on the pavement surface. Material must have sufficient glass beads to produce maximum adhesion, refraction, and reflection during the life of the marking applied at 15 mils wet film thickness. Gaps between painted segments must not vary more than +/- 6" from specified dimensions. Lines shall be free of waviness and lateral deviations must not exceed 2 inches in 15 feet. Contractor shall retain all field notes and documentation of all Manufacturers' Certifications
