Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Tyler, Alabama. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and playground / park / athletic field.
City staff will be collaborating with Neighborhood 1st Groups, interested residents, and area businesses to develop new urban parks and pocket parks in underserved areas. Parks division goal is to provide a "quality park within walking distance from every residence in Hagerstown" (defined as 1/4 mile). FY25: Antietam Creek Waterway Trail: Complete construction and amenities of watercraft access upstream of Mt. Aetna Road bridge and portage trail under bridge to below dam. ($355,000 - including $45,000 POS awarded in FY21, $270,000 POS request for FY24 and $40,000 in City match funding - $35,000 Carryover of FY24 HUR, $5,000 additional CIP FB). As of August 9, 2024, this project is included in the city's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
