DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This work shall include, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials for the installation of retaining walls, pavement reconstruction, drainage improvements, and all other work shown and specified in the Contract Documents. The site of construction is on Old Vincennes Road, 0.4 miles northwest of Captain Frank Road. COMPLETION DATE: Work shall be completed no later than October 1, 2025. BID GUARANTY: Each Bid Proposal Packet shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check or cashier's check or an acceptable Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana. If the Bidder is awarded the Contract, a Performance, Maintenance, Labor and Material Bond shall be required in an amount not lessthan one hundred percent of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana. The contractor shall be also required to submit certificates of all insurance. The Floyd County Department of Highway and Public Works reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than 60 days and said bids shall remain in full force and effect during said time. The Floyd County Department of Highway and Public Works further reserves the right to waive informalities, and to award the contract to any Bidder to the advantage of the Floyd County, or to reject all bids. Failure of the County to send or of any Bidder to receive, any such interpretation shall not relieve any Bidder from any obligation under his bid as submitted.
