Q&A Deadline August 27, 2024 12:00 PM (PDT) The City of Inglewood (City) seeks an experienced and qualified Contractor to retrofit and replace the existing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems with needle point bipolar ionization (NPBI) technology. NPBI technology delivers indoor air free of ozone and other harmful byproducts by introducing ions into the space via airflow in the ventilation system. Retrofitting all City facilities with HVAC through NPBI technology improves the air by reducing airborne particulates, odors, and pathogens, enhancing the indoor air quality (IAQ) equipment. The awarded Contractor will retrofit seven (7) air handlers, seventeen (17) package units, and four (4) split/wall units; replace three (3) package and three (3) split units with built-in NPBI technology that must be BACnet ready with sensors to read pressure and position. The Contractor will also upgrade the HVAC office units on the 8th floor of the Legal Department and the Library Lecture Hall. NPBI technology must be Trane brand with Delta Controls and BACnet ready or equivalent. This project addresses air pollution, pathogens, and other indoor contaminants to create a healthier and safer space for occupants and visitors.
