The intent of this Request for Qualification (RFQ) is to seek statements of qualifications (Responses) from parties (the Respondents) interested in construction of the Iona Island Wastewater Treatment Plant (IIWWTP) Biosolids Storage Facility. More specifically, the intent of this RFQ is to short-list up to three Respondents to participate in a Tender for the construction of the Iona Island Wastewater Treatment Plant Biosolids Storage Facility; however, the Corporation reserves the right to short-list a greater number of Respondents. Constructing a biosolids storage facility at the IIWWTP to temporarily store biosolids during occasional operating issue such as wet load, overload or road closures due to extreme weather. Under normal condition, the storage area will remain empty. Work of this project comprises the supply and installation of all materials related to the Biosolids Storage Area, located at the IIWWTP. The place of Work, is located at Iona Island in the City of Richmond, BC, at 1,000 Ferguson Rd. The Scope includes: 1. Removals/demolition of minor infrastructure. 2. Earthworks, grading, paving, sub-surface aggregate placement and compaction, concrete work, installation of concrete curbs and related upgrades. 3. Installation of underground utilities, including drainage works, trench drainage and tiein to existing utilities. 4. Installation of concrete lock-block storage systems, including installation of covering tents and related infrastructure. 5. Restoration, clean-up, landscaping. 6. Related work including, but not limited to, the construction of access roads, pedestrian and traffic control, compliance with safety requirements.
