Renovation of a mixed-use development in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and parking garage.
Design Services for elevator modernization in two buildings located on the east bank of the Twin Cities campus. The scope of the Project includes modernization of elevators as described below and in the attached Design Intent Document. These facilities are operational 24/7 for campus operations, visitors, and special events. Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) maintains all parking facilities on campus. I. Washington Avenue Ramp (WAR) - Project # 01-158-24-2829 a. Address: 501 Washington Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455 b. Elevators # 158-T232 (West, Levels 1-6 (Front/Rear on Level 1) and 158- T236 (East, Levels 1-6 (Front/Rear on Level 1)). Conventional Overhead Traction. c. See 2014 WAR Maintenance Audit Report for reference only. This team should provide building survey work to validate elevator, building, mechanical, electrical, structural scope of this project. Design shall include all elements within and including the elevator shaft to meet code. Design team may need to seek Exceptions to University or State Code if needed. Add security and data elements as directed by University. d. Construction shall occur in 2025. University will seek a contractor in late 2024. For purposes of cost estimating, the West elevators scope must be completed prior to start of the East elevators. II. East River Road Garage (ERRG) - Project # 01-183-24-2832 a. Address: 385 East River Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55455 b. Elevators # 183-T241, 183-T242, 183-T243, 183-T244 (Level 1, A, B, C, D, E, F, G). Basement Set Traction, Level F. Two machine rooms with two elevators each. c. See 2018 Campus Wide Elevator Modernization Predesign Study for reference only. This team should provide building survey work to validate elevator, building, mechanical, electrical, structural scope of this project. Design shall include all elements within and including the elevator shaft to meet code. Design team may need to seek Exceptions to University or State Code if needed. Add security and data elements as directed by University. Question Deadline 08/16/2024 at 12:00 PM CT The University requires the Construction Document Phase to be complete by no later than November 15, 2024. Anticipated Authorization to Proceed September 9, 2024.
