Renovation of an educational facility in St Petersburg, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

This project consists of furnishing of all labor/materials and performing all work necessary to the completion of replacement of the shingle roof assembly at Building 4 and replacement of the low slope roof assembly at the adjacent covered walkway. All preparation and painting of steel supports at walkways. The prime Contractor shall be a Florida licensed Roofing Contractor. A. At all steep sloped areas to be reroofed, existing asphalt shingle roof system and underlayment shall be removed to the existing wood deck. Deteriorated wood decking shall be removed and new wood decking shall be installed. B. At all low sloped, covered walkway areas to be reroofed, the existing modified bitumen roof systems shall be removed to the existing gypsum and cementitious wood fiberboard decks. C. At the covered walkway being reroofed, remove and replace the gutter and downspout assemblies with new. D. Wood nailers at the low slope roof edges being reroofed are to be removed and replaced with new. Include removal and replacement of vertical wood nailer fascia board behind the gutter units. E. Prepare exposed deck steel framing angle and prepare as required to receive a rust inhibitive coating. Paint substrate to match existing / adjacent finishes. F. On all low slope roof areas, the new tapered insulation system and cover boards shall be installed into adhesive. G. A new two-ply, torch-applied modified bituminous roof system shall be installed over the cover board. New flashings shall be installed at penetrations and walls as detailed. H. A new asphalt shingle assembly with self-adhered underlayment shall be installed over the existing wood deck. New flashings shall be installed at penetrations and walls as detailed. I. Install all new aluminum edge metal, coping, skirt flashings, and miscellaneous sheet metal items. J. Extend plumbing vent pipes and roof curbs as necessary to provide a minimum 8 inches of flashing height. K. Remove and replace existing expansion joint and area divider at the low slope roof areas. L. Install two new area dividers at the covered walkway areas being reroofed to separate new assembly from existing to remain. Prepare existing and provide flashing tie-in as required for a watertight assembly. Question Deadline 09/05/2024 at 2:00 PM ET Additional questions or clarifications regarding this solicitation shall be directed through electronically. The Contract Period shall commence on October 8, 2024, and end January 8, 2025. The District reserves the following rights to: Conduct pre-award discussion and/or pre-award/contract negotiations with any or all responsive and responsible Bidders who submit bids determined to be reasonably acceptable of being selected for award; conduct personal interviews or require presentations of any or all Bidders prior to selection; and make investigations of the qualifications of Bidders as it deems appropriate, including, but not limited to, a background investigation conducted by the appropriate law enforcement agency. Request that Bidder(s) modify their bid to more fully meet the needs of the District or to furnish additional information as the District may reasonably require. Accord fair and equal treatment with respect to any opportunity for discussions and revisions of bids. Such revisions may be permitted after submission of proposals and prior to award. Waive minor irregularities in the procedures, and reject any and all proposals. Waive any irregularity in any bid, or reject any and all bids, should it be deemed in its best interest to do so. The District shall be the sole judge of Bidder's qualifications and reserves the right to verify all information submitted by the Bidder. The bid selected will be that bid which is judged to be the most beneficial to the District. Request that Bidders submit their annual financial statements for the last three fiscal years, including company financial statement summaries, certified by a Certified Public Accountant. If the organization has been in business for a period of less than three years, Bidders may be required to submit a detailed business plan in addition to any pertinent information that would allow the District to evaluate the sufficiency of financial resources and the ability of the business to successfully perform the services enumerated in the contract. Unless otherwise stated, such requests would be made after the submission of the proposals and prior to award of a contract.
