Site work for a municipal facility in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.
The Contractor shall provide landscape installations and design services, including stamped irrigation designs, for all requested buildings whether occupied healthcare, research, or administrative office facilities. The Contractor will need to cultivate a deep understanding of The MD Anderson campus, including familiarity with its complex landscape installations with understanding of the sensitive and occasionally challenging nature of completing work on campus. The Contractor must be capable of executing designs and installations well above average commercial landscaping with minimal oversight. MD Anderson reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Proposals in part or whole. This scope of work is comprised of a broad range of tasks. These tasks range from simple installations such as minor plant replacement, installation of rock and hardscapes, to high intensity bed repair and renovation. Representative projects have previously included: o Replacement of a single specimen flowering tree. o Full installation of dynamic multi-species gardens, including sourcing non-typical or unusual plant materials and suggesting horticulturist approved substitutions when necessary. o Removal and rebuilding of soil in a rooftop garden using a lightweight planter soil mix, including replanting with new plant palette post soil installation. o Adding areas of decorative rock where landscape difficulties were identified, using steel edging to maintain a clean look with defined borders. o Installation of a stacked stone wall for a terraced garden area. o Creating a concrete pad and sidewalk, tied seamlessly with existing concrete structures. o Installation of a multi-zone irrigation system, both traditional sprays and drip. o Large scale soil and mulch removal, hauling, and re-installation using contractor-owned heavy machinery and trailers.
