The City of Prince Rupert is seeking Proposals from qualified Proponents to assess the cause of floor heaving beneath the slab of the civic arena ice rink and surrounding floor areas in the arena halls and lobby. The unevenness has been increasing slowly over the last twenty years and has resulted in cracked floor tiles in the lobby/entrance area and an uneven surface to the ice rink and surrounding walkways. The present RFP aims to procure a geotechnical report on the cause of the problem, accompanied by recommendations and a cost estimate for permanently addressing it.
