PRPA requires replacement of 1,200 track feet of rail, including all rail ties and ballast. The Work generally consists of the following elements: Mobilization of material, labour, and equipment. Fully replace and upgrade 1,200 track feet with all new materials: 1,200 track feet of 136 lbs rail complete with pandrol clips. Insulated joints at CN switch. Tie: 7H X 9W X 86L (#1), Hardwood, End Plated Surface and undercut track: Cut shoulders 24 inches from end of tie and 3 inches below tie. Remove fouled ballast at a depth of 9 inches below the tie. Weld the joints. Perform installation work during 10-hour shutdowns. Complete work to CN Industrial Specifications 31-01-2019. Clean and dispose of all waste materials (Rail Ties to be disposed of at a Ministry of Environment (MOE) approved site with documentation provided). Demobilization of all labour and equipment.
