The goal of this project is to repair the building envelope and bring the building up to a condion that is compliant with the BC Building Code and uses best pracOces for our region’s damp climate. The District of Port Edward is inviOng proposals from qualified contractors to provide costs for the following: Scope of Works All exterior windows in the building are to be replaced Removal of all exterior Stucco siding Any rotten wood framing to be repaired Any rotten plywood sheathing to be replaced Install plywood sheathing and new metal cladding siding to match existing metal cladding siding Clean wood railing and paint wood railing Install larger diameter fasteners on the roof Apply epoxy paint on roof to extend roof life expectancy Replace concrete retaining wall on south side of building Repair block header (south main door) Any quesOons regarding this RFP should be directed to: Robert Grodecki, CAO at cao@portedward.ca or call (250)628-3667.
