The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain proposals from architectural firms with PK-12 educational planning experience to assess and evaluate the current educational facilities and identify future needs to incorporate into a FEMA grant application for a multi-purpose community tornado safe room. The potential project will be delivered in two phases: Phase 1 - Conceptual Design & Application Development The architect will support the District through the initial stages of developing a comprehensive conceptual design and budget estimate for the proposed multi-purpose community tornado safe room facility. The architectural and engineering team will create preliminary design sketches, establish project goals, and outline potential design solutions that align with the district's vision. Additionally, the team will provide a detailed budget estimate based on the conceptual design, encompassing all projected costs, to ensure the project is financially viable and aligns with funding constraints. Phase 2 - Project Implementation If the District approves proceeding with design and construction of a project based on Phase 1 efforts, the selected architect will deliver comprehensive services including architectural design, interior design, engineering, program verification, project management, continuous community engagement, and construction administration. These services will start with the schematic design phase and continue through to project completion and closeout. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
