The purpose of this Competitive Sealed Request for Proposal is to solicit sealed proposals from qualified, licensed and experienced architectural & engineering firm (s) in the design and construction administration of well buildings/structures for James City County (JCC) referred collectively herein as the Owner, as described in this Request for Proposal (RFP). Architectural and Engineering services including, but not limited to the design of a well building/structure and necessary support infrastructure to support two new fresh water drinking wells installed at Chickahominy Riverfront Park. The new well building and infrastructure will support the parks' various freshwater needs. James City County is interested in a sustainable, cost-effective and efficient building to support the park into the future. Chickahominy Riverfront Park is a 140-acre park located on the Chickahominy River offering visitors year-round options for camping, boating, and fishing. Additional amenities feature over 120 campsites, including campsites that accommodate large groups, an outdoor pool, driving range, picnic shelters, camp store and playground. The facility will be located at Chickahominy Riverfront Park 1350 John Tyler Hwy, Williamsburg, VA 23185. In compliance with this Request for Proposal and subject to all the conditions thereof, the undersigned offers to furnish the goods/services requested and certifies he/she has read, understands, and agrees to all requirements of this bid and is authorized to contract on behalf of the firm named below. My signature on this solicitation constitutes certification that I or my designated representative have inspected the job site and am aware of the conditions under which the work must be accomplished. Claims as a result of failure to inspect the job site, shall not be considered by the County. By my signature on this solicitation, I certify that this firm/individual is properly licensed for providing the goods/services specified. James City County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received as a result of this request, to negotiate with a qualified firm or to modify or cancel in part or in its entirety the Request for Proposal, if it is in the best interest of James City County to do so. Firms awarded a contract under this Request for Proposal shall be required to licensed in accordance with the Code of Virginia 58.1-3700 et seq and the County's Business, Professional, and Occupational Licensing (BPOL) Tax Ordinance, Chapter 12.
