The work consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as described in detail in the Bidding and Contract Documents, Plans and Specifications to construct the project. The ADA Door Installation ("Project") would replace non-ADA doors to publicly accessible community gathering spaces at Clara Park Community Center (4835 Clara St). Through the procurement process, the installation of accessible doors would allow easier access to persons with disabilities and elderly persons a s more specifically described in the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall complete all work within 30 working days of the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Each Bid must be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, certified check, or Bidder's Bond issued by a Surety insurer, made payable to the City and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total Bid submitted. Each Bidder shall possess a valid Class B Contractor's license issued by the California State Contractors License Board at the time of the Bid submission, unless this Project has any federal funding, in which case the successful Bidder must possess such a license at the time of Contract award. The successful Contractor must also possess a current City business license. Liquidated damages is $500 per calendar day.
