The City of Fort Worth is requesting proposals & qualifications from interested and qualified engineering consulting firms or other qualified firms to perform engineering, design, permitting, and professional services necessary for the following projects: REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS o New Sendera Ranch Ground Storage Tank (WP N3/N4-3) REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS o Cast Iron Water Main Replacement - Downtown Fort Worth Area o EMWTP Expansion Resident Engineering & Inspection Services during Construction) o VCWRF Primary Clarification Resident Engineering & Inspection Services during Construction) Questions Due Date: Sep 9th 2024, 5:00 PM CDT Online Portal The project is on an accelerated schedule to meet increasing water demands in west Fort Worth. The award of the engineering agreement in projected for November 2024 with design complete 9 months after acquisition of pump station site. A Business Equity Project goal of TBD been established for this project. Consultants shall submit their SBE utilization plan with their proposal. Failure to submit the SBE plan with the proposal will render the proposal non-responsive. The SBE plan will be part of the weighted selection criteria. The proposal is for the design and preparation of construction plans and specifications for construction of the new Sendera Ranch 5.0 MG Ground Storage Tank. The proposed site is located adjacent to the existing Sendera Ranch Pump Station and existing 5.0 MG Ground Storage Tank at 1000 Rancho Canyon Road (MAPSCO 05G). This pump station and ground storage tank (GST) located at the far north portion of the Northside II Pressure Plane is a major water supply point for the north portion of Fort Worth north of AvondaleHaslett Road between the City of Haslett and US-287 and is the primary source of water for development along the SH-114 corridor. The ground storage tank is a requirement of the Draft Water Mini-Master Plan Northside Update, prepared by Freese & Nichols, Inc., (2024). This study was undertaken to provide a comprehensive plan to technical aspects of the Fort Worth's future water service responsibilities. T Additional storage at the Sendera Ranch Pump Station Site will reduce the effect to the Northside III/IV Pressure Planes during high demand periods In Far North Fort Worth. The Engineer, as part of the new ground storage tank, will: o Review current tank site for the 2nd ground storage tank, Also look at adjacent/nearby site as possible alternative tank location. Due to existing development, alternate tanks are very limited. o Review tank configuration and material options o Submit a design report with recommendations concerning the tank sizing, type and location along with any required modifications to the existing Northside II distribution system. Develop a site plan for the ground storage tank. o Prepare construction plans and specifications, and assist the City during the bidding process. o Work with Fort Worth Staff to obtain building permits for the proposed ground storage tank o Provide support (shop drawing review, on-site visits, and technical assistance) during construction phase. The City will be responsible for construction administration. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
