Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Columbia, Missouri. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and playground / park / athletic field.

Battle Elementary Playground Addition. DESCRIPTION/SCOPE OF WORK The scope of work for Battle Elementary Playground Addition shall include, but is not limited to, the following: Provide equipment, material, and labor to install. The structures bid must be in full compliance with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), meet the Consumer Products Safety Commission's (CPSC) guidelines and be IPEMA certified. It must also comply with the current ADA 2010 & ANSI A117.1 2017 guidelines. Proof of compliance to the ADA 2010 & ANSI A117.1 2017 guidelines must be stamped on the drawing submitted in your bid response. Award of this bid is planned for October 14, 2024. This RFP will be referred to as Exhibit A in the contract. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any "informalities" in the proposals received whenever such selection, rejection or waiver is in its best interest. The District reserves the right to accept or reject all or part of the bid, to waive technicalities, and to accept the offer the District considers most advantageous. Bids will be evaluated based on the type of product or service offered, price of the product or service, qualifications of the bidder, experience of the bidder, and the District's past experience with the bidder. Bidders' experience and qualifications shall include the number of years the bidder has been in operation, the number of times the bidder has provided the product or service requested, the litigation history of the bidder, and the number of times the bidder has provided the product or service to the District or other public school districts. The Board shall negotiate a contract with the successful bidder. The contract shall be substantially in the form of the standard Construction Agreement with attachments, which is available upon request from the above- named contact. All bid documents become public record once a negotiated contract has been executed. All bids must be valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the opening of bids. All bids shall include a 5% bid bond. Any bids submitted without a bid bond will be disqualified and not considered for award. A copy of bid bond will be accepted with electronic submittal. The low qualified bidder will have 48 hours to get the original to the District upon request. All nonconforming bids will be disqualified and not considered for award. All contracts exceeding $50,000 shall have a Performance and Payment Bond. Liquidated damages are set at $250 per day. Retainage is set at 5%. INSTALLATION SCHEDULE The following are the dates when this project can begin and when it must be completed. All insurance and background check documents must be on file with the District prior to the successful contractor being authorized to proceed. Anticipated Start Date -December 1, 2024.
