*As of October 10, 2024 this project has been awarded to Flyway Excavating to $307,433.99.* The successful bidder, who is awarded the contract, will be required to pay online Program a fee of 1/3 of 1% of the contract award value. There is a minimum award fee of $100.00 and a maximum of $5,000.00. Bidders must confirm the fees associated with bidding through online and the successful bidder is responsible for the fees associated with the awarded bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a Form of Guarantee, in the form of a bid bond payable to Pocopson Township in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total Bid, and all other Bid Documents listed in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder shall also be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of written notice of acceptance of the Bid. Only bid bonds from companies licensed to do business in Pennsylvania will be accepted, which shall be so stated on the bond. Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid for sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. Pocopson Township reserves the right to waive any irregularities, informalities, or to reject any or all bids for any reason. This project is funded with American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. Funding requirements must be followed. This Contract is subject to the provisions, duties, obligations, remedies, and penalties of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (43 P.S. 165-1, et seq.), as amended, which is incorporated herein by reference as if fully set forth herein. The project includes the restoration of Pocopson Creek upstream of Lenape Unionville Road. The stream and floodplain of Pocopson Creek has and is currently experiencing significant erosional issues that have impacted the stability of the stream corridor. The proposed project activities include bank stabilization and habitat enhancements along Pocopson Creek. The project proposes to restore the stream corridor and ensure that future issues do not occur. Multiple treatments will be installed along the Pocopson Creek stream corridor, including engineered riffle establishment, toe boulder protection, bank grading/stabilization, and floodplain connection.
