Plans will also be available at the Humboldt County Bid Opportunities website. Contract Documents, Plans and Specifications will be available on August 13th, 2024. The County reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in any Bid. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) calendar days subsequent to the opening of Bids without the consent of the County. All Bidders will be required to certify that they are eligible to submit a Bid on this project and that they are not listed either (1) on the Controller General's List of Ineligible Bidders/Contractors, or (2) on the debarred list of the Labor Commissioner of the State of California. The successful Bidder shall possess a valid Contractor's license in good standing, with a classification of "B" (General Building Contractor) at the time the contract is awarded. The successful Bidder will be required to comply with all equal employment opportunity laws and regulations both at the time of award and throughout the duration of the Project. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Pursuant to Section 1771.1(a) of the California Labor Code, a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in Sections 1770 et seq. of the Labor Code, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 of the Labor Code.
