Middletown Borough (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Overdeer Park Improvements 000516.0513 The Project includes the following Work: Existing playground equipment removal and installation of new children's playground as well as associated park improvements, including a stamped concrete plaza. Bid security in the form a Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10%. Statutory Requirements. This project is funded in part by a grant from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR). The funding source is the Community Program - Park Rehabilitation and Development, Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund. Bidders must comply with all State antibid-rigging regulations pertaining to work associated with this project, and will be required to submit an executed non-collusion affidavit with the bid. Bidders should refer to provisions of federal and state statutes, rules and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and preservation of public natural resources that affect the project, pursuant to Act No. 247 of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, approved October 26, 1972. This Project falls under The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act ('the Act') which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award. The estimated cost of this project is greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply.
